Spectacular views are ten-a-penny here in the Lake District and locals are extremely lucky to live in such a breathtakingly beautiful part of the world. It’s not hard to find a picture perfect view when you’re visiting Windermere Manor hotel, but where can you capture a stunning shot nearby?

Wansfell Peak & Stock Ghyll Force

One of the finest, full length views of Lake Windermere is from the peak of Wansfell. Take the relatively gentle walk to it from the Troutbeck Side then a steeper walk down into Ambleside and you’ll find the stunning 70 foot waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force.

Holehird Gardens

The beautiful and tranquil hillside garden is around a 25 minute walk (1.5 miles) from Windermere Manor hotel and offers plenty of charming spots for taking pics within the Walled Garden and the fellside Upper Garden. The best view is probably from the Dale Panorama, where you can get gorgeous views across Windermere to the Langdale Pikes and the Lakelands fells.
