The perfect base

Welcome to Windermere Manor, a family and pet-friendly hotel in a fantastic location in the beautiful Lake District. Set in charming gardens, this handsome building and its cottage annexe are home to 35 unique bedrooms, a swimming pool, bar and restaurant.

You can enjoy breakfast in the conservatory, Afternoon Tea in the beautiful Chapel or Drawing Rooms, or relax and take in the view of Lake Windermere with a glass of wine on the Terrace.

The hotel is a short, 5-minute taxi ride from Windermere train station, and we have parking onsite if you’re bringing the car.

Windermere village, Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside are all within easy reach, so that you can soak in the stunning peaks and valleys and charming setting of this deservedly popular part of the world.

Besides its fantastic gardens, the hotel has stunning views over Lake Windermere and Hammerbank viewpoint is directly opposite the hotel.
